A forklift to be a successful model must be built powerful to last the working conditions for many hours of use. It should be able to move cargo quickly and efficiently too. The machinery must also be ergonomically correct and comfortable for the operator.
The Yale powertrain is reliable and rugged. It needs to be powerful enough to always deliver amazing strength through its computer-managed engine and transmission. It provides state-of-the-art clutch packs combined with really tough shafts and strong gears. The steer axle, drive, transmission and engine are all isolated in order to lessen vibration and noise inside of the operator's compartment.
Mazda and GM Gas & LP Engines:
GM's gas engines and Mazda's LP engine use cast iron blocks to promote long life. These equipment offer an electronically-controlled closed loop fuel system that needs minimum repair or adjustment. These engines also have hardened exhaust valve seats that lessen wear.
Yanmar and Cummins Diesel Engines:
Both the Yanmar and Cummins diesel engine offer a higher compression ratio leading to enhanced torque. Amazing fuel consumption is provided by effective fuel systems.
Regular Electronic Powershift Transmission:
The electronic powershift transmission is standard on nearly all equipment. It features gears which are 15% stronger and shafts which provide resistance when driving on rough environment. The strong clutch packs offer 3 times the life of previous packs. Lastly, there is available electronic inching which automatically adjusts so as to decrease maintenance needs by compensating for brake wear.
Techtronix Transmission:
The Techtronix Transmission utilizes computer-controlled power reversal to extend the life of the tires, to eliminate shock loading and increase durability. In addition, the auto deceleration feature reduces both brake wear and brake pedal usage.
Drive Axle:
The Drive Axle is engineered for added durability with its brake drum mounting, full floating axle shaft and the pinion gears and strong ring. This component also has optional oil cooled wet disc brakes which are completely sealed against contamination and practically maintenance free.
Steer Axle:
The Steer Axle features a "sandwich" design to be able to protect the steer cylinder from damage and debris. It has fixed-length tie rods to add extra durability and stability. The tapered roller bearings help to resist front to back and side-to-side forces. In addition, cast ductile iron axle increases toughness and reduces wear.
Yale had made a lot of safety features and ergonomic features part of their standard packages. These kinds of machines will handle tough settings, while keeping the operator both comfortable and safe for the duration of their shift.
